Helping people restore their health by rebuilding the resilience of the gut microbiome.
For more than 35 years, my career has been driven by one question:
Why do chronic diseases develop, and how can we restore health by addressing their underlying biological mechanisms rather than simply managing symptoms?
My search for that answer has taken me through laboratory immunology research, clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry, supplement development, and today, microbiome-focused clinical practice. Although my roles have evolved over the years, my passion has remained the same: translating science into better health and better patient outcomes.
After earning my Master of Science in Immunology, I began my scientific career developing monoclonal antibodies for the immunophenotypic classification of lymphomas and leukemias. I later worked with monoclonal antibodies for the identification of plant viruses, experiences that strengthened my understanding of immunology, laboratory science, and the complex biological systems that influence health and disease.
I then spent more than 25 years leading and managing clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry, overseeing clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas, including vaccines. This experience taught me the importance of scientific rigor, evidence-based medicine, and translating research into meaningful clinical practice.
My professional journey became deeply personal when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of seven, and both of my children experienced recurrent infections during childhood. Those experiences inspired me to look beyond symptom management and search for the root causes of chronic illness. They ultimately led me to holistic nutrition and, most importantly, to the emerging science of the human microbiome.
Today, as a Certified Holistic Nutrition Practitioner and Microbiome Clinical Science Practitioner, my work focuses on restoring the health and resilience of the gut microbiome in people experiencing digestive disorders, autoimmune conditions, chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and other complex health challenges.
I believe the gut microbiome is one of the body's most important regulators of health. It influences digestion, immune function, metabolism, hormone balance, and communication with the brain. When that ecosystem loses balance and resilience, the effects can extend far beyond the digestive tract.
My approach combines advanced microbiome science, immunology, evidence-based nutrition, and whole-person care. Every client is unique, and every microbiome tells a different story. Rather than simply managing symptoms, I work to understand the underlying factors contributing to illness and develop personalized strategies that help restore resilience from within.
I don't believe healing comes from quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. It comes from understanding the individual, respecting the complexity of the human body, and applying science in a practical and compassionate way.
It is a privilege to partner with my clients on that journey, helping them better understand their bodies, restore confidence in their health, and build a foundation for long-term wellness.
